Synopsis:
Widowed makeup artist Jane Sullivan is more comfortable keeping her husband's memory alive than dating a pool full of sharks. Ella, her 4 year-old daughter, is her whole world.
When Jane meets Lucas Oliver, famous cover model, it’s hate at first sight. His playboy persona rubs her the wrong way.
Accustomed to every woman fawning over him, Lucas is drawn to the shy, uncompromising single mom and completely melts at the sight of Ella. He is determined to convince Jane that sometimes a second chance can mend a broken heart.
Review:
This book was fun. though the story was usual first hate- then love type with a widow with a daughter. I still like the portrayal of the characters. the characters were strong and their was definitely an element of romance going on with them.
sometimes, the behavior of the characters would get a little childish but overall the story was such, which pulled you into the book till the end.
The book was filled with hot guys- it was an easy read.
in the romance area, even if it was clean romance, I would have liked a little more detail about Lucas and Jane's time together, as everything happened too fast. A little bit of action could have made the book perfect.
Sophie Kendrick is in search of her father who is missing in the jungles of Costa Rica. She needs to find him so her friend helps her in hiring a guide who knows the paths and ways in the jungle. Jack Mathison is not looking for a woman, especially after his past. But Sophie is not going to leave him until he helps her. From the start they are at the odds. But beneath their fights and sarcastic comments, an attraction is hidden. People who were fighting their whole way will have to fight to be with each other, especially when Sophie’s boyfriend is waiting to propose her when she returns back home.
Who is she going to chose? Is she going to find her father? And are they going to make peace with their problems to be with one another?
I fell in love with this book. From the start till the end, Cindy Roland Anderson’s writing style and story didn’t let me put this book aside. It was funny and intense at the same time. The characters have a personality, each holding their position in the story without being shadowed by the other. The purpose of the characters and their strengths and passions absorbed me in the story. The roller coaster of the emotions was fun.
This was a light read with simple and clean romance. It had a little bit of suspense and romance and made me enjoy each and every minute of reading. I will recommend it to all the people who want to take a breath after reading some full-action-packed novel and take a time to read this lighthearted story with a fun plot.
Christmas is a time of miracles and a time of love. And when Six amazing authors join together, it becomes the perfect treat for the readers. These authors bring their short and romantic historical stories in “A Timeless Romance Anthology- Silver Bells”.
A Fairy Christmas (Lucinda Brant): England,1767. This story was a little slow for me, but overall had a very sweet and happy effect. I liked how Kitty is a hopeful person and her love for Tom Allenby is very sweet. They are smart and don’t rush things like many new-age couples and wait to understand each other first.
A Christmas Promise (Sarah M. Eden): Late 1820’s- This is one of my favorite story. I liked that Maeve, a sister of two annoying brothers, is an independent women with an air of authority and Sean and Maeve are perfect for each other, especially when they confess their love on Christmas. This story shows that how one mistake and a one wrong turn can completely change your life, especially when that change is good.
Twelve Months (Heather B. Moore): England, 1907-This was a beautiful story with the proof that miracles happen. After having bad luck twice in a love, Cora is not planning to fall in love again. But when her late husband’s best-friend Lucien cares for her and (for her husband’s last wish) proposes her, she was not expecting the love and a happy ending in her life. It’s a charming story that starts with being friends/companions and ending with the marriage.
A Fezziwig Christmas (LuAnn Brobst Staheli): London, 1790-For me, this book was a little frustrating. I liked the story but the heroine, Pricilla was a little slow to understand the love of Dick for her. I like how Dick even when being poor kept the hope that Pricilla will love him back until he got her and her parents’ permission to court her. Finally the end was happy and perfect.
A Taste of Home (Annette Lyon): 1913-This is the sweetest story of two childhood enemies becoming lovers when they get older. Due to some reasons, Claire and Will can’t go home and decide to spend the Christmas together. The efforts of Will to make Claire happy are very cute and make you wish you had someone like him, who would care for you and your wishes and make the Christmas day special.
My Modern Girl (Becca Wilhite): 1924-A beautiful story of a girl Margie, who is trying to fit in the modern city away from her family and friends, and her journey to the realization that she is in love with a man she left behind in her home town. The cute way they stay in touch with letters and how Henry is the perfect guy, she dreamt about. The sweet Christmas story including silver bulbs with heart shaped hooks.
Over all, it is a perfect Christmas package, with the best writers and amazing and enchanting stories to have on the Christmas Eve.

Like every author on the planet, I've spent endless hours mulling over creating titles for my work. One strives, of course, to be both memorable and honestly descriptive of the content.
There are also marketing aspects to be considered. The marquee value cannot be neglected since the book, especially fiction, must compete in the market place and be "discoverable" to the searching eye of the browser and the impulsive book buyer who scans bookshelves of those bookstores still remaining and interminable book cover images that clutter the e-reader "shelves."
Another wild aspiration that motivates the author is the possibility of a movie production of their novel and the limitations of the actual movie marquee. Anything more than a four-word title could be a dream killer. Imagine any great movie or TV adaptation based on a novel where the title of the novel is changed. I have been lucky in that regard with three of my works The War of the Roses, Random Hearts and The Sunset Gang.
The title's suggestion to a cover artist was, and perhaps still is, an aspect that had to be taken into account. The book cover design and illustration has always been an integral part of the marketing process and many fine prize winning designs have been an essential marketing tool for books in both fiction and non-fiction categories.
For books in categories such as romance, science fiction, mysteries, fantasy, zombie and vampire stories, young adult and children's books and all their sub-categories, the titles and covers must reflect the specific genre to clearly designate its content.
But for the author of mainstream fiction whose story line is not in any genre category, he or she must face the agony of choice. Many famous authors chose to name their books after a main character, and one can point to many successes such as David Copperfield, Oliver Twist, Jane Eyre, Anna Karenina, Daniel Deronda, Nana, Mrs. Dalloway, Lolita, Mrs. Palfrey at the Claremont, Rebecca, Tom Jones, Clarissa, Robinson Crusoe and the most enduring of all, Don Quixote.
Some authors have chosen place names, countries, houses, streets, neighborhoods, destinations, bars, modes of transportation and myriad other categories as titles, too numerous to mention; Wuthering Heights and Tales of the South Pacific are typical.
Many of these, obviously, are classic novels that have stood the test of time but there are many character named titles that have passed on to obscurity.
Then there are the titles that are lifted from lines of poetry that the author believes are an apt choice to illustrate a theme of the novel, some of recent vintage like The Lovely Bones. Among the better known are A Handful of Dust, Of Mice and Men, Far From the Madding Crowd, Remembrance of Things Past, Endless Night and many others.
One title that always intrigued me was Catcher in the Rye, which takes its inspiration from Robert Burns, the famous Scottish poet whose "Comin' Thro' The Rye" was a poem with obvious sexual overtones, a subject much on the mind of the main character in the book. Another is To Kill A Mockingbird, which takes its title from a snippet of dialogue from its main character declaring that to kill a mockingbird is a sin. That title truly encapsulates the theme of that novel.
Believe me, I have had many sleepless nights trying to come up with titles that accurately nailed the content of my work. I've taken them from snippets of poetry and quotations from Shakespeare whose work is a gold mine of fantastic possibilities. Indeed, I found the title of my latest work, The Serpent's Bite, in that famous quote by Lear, "How sharper than a serpent's tooth it is to have a thankless child!" It hits the mark about the content of this novel with deadly accuracy.
I've always admired the titles of Hemingway, masterpieces of accuracy, nuance and subtlety. Few are better than A Farewell to Arms and For Whom The Bells Toll, and an all-time favorite of mine is Gone With the Wind, which is beautifully said and chillingly accurate. Another all-time favorite of mine is The Red and the Black, by Stendahl, subtly delineating the central focus of the main character's ambitions, the red of the Army and the black of the clergy.
Thomas Hardy was a master of titles: Jude the Obscure and The Return of the Native to mention just two of many. Some wonderful titles stick in my craw, not because they are not brilliant but, for some reason, I could never fully master their content. They are One Hundred Years of Solitude and Under the Volcano.
But then, by and large, a great title is an art form unto itself. Indeed, a great title does not necessarily signify a great book and vice versa.
It has always been a source of great curiosity to me to understand the psychology of "titling." Do titles really help in making reading choices or are they merely identifying pointers? I'd like to hear what you think.

Jack Cooper is an unhappy man; mind, body, and spirit. In the blink of an eye, he lost his job to the bad economy, his mother to a fatal illness, and his wife to her secret lover. Beaten, broken, and crippled by tragedy, he withdraws into total isolation, maintaining the simplest of routines in order to block out his pain. Cooper’s day begins with a strenuous workout at the Bethesda Health Club—his personal oasis where his mind and body are free—and ends inside his bare apartment, where Cooper escapes into his library of novels until he finally loses himself in sleep. Nothing more, nothing less. That is, until he meets the enigmatic Mike Parrish.
Stolen from the hospital as a newborn, and passed around from household to household, Parrish has no official identification. To the government and the world at large, he
does not exist. He is an anonymous drifter, but also the first person who breaks through Cooper’s emotional confinement. Cooper finds solace in his friendship with Parrish, a man who understands his plight and is sympathetic to his pain.
But then Parrish suddenly disappears, leaving Cooper to search for a virtually invisible man. As he looks for clues as intangible as ghosts, and chases leads as fleeting as shadows, his search leads him back to the one place he called his refuge: the Bethesda Health Club.
How much can be taken from a man before he has nothing to lose?

It was my first time reading this Evie Knight’s novel. When I got this book, I expected the same old typical love story with too much drama and love scenes and no plot.
But honestly, this book took me by surprise and was totally worth my time. With a sweet and easy flowing story, the plot was continuous and without any confusions and breaks. Evie lets the readers enter the world of love, break-ups, struggles, fashion and betrayal.
“Love by Design” is a romantic novel with two main characters, Amanda and Tristan. Amanda is an ambitious woman who dreams about becoming a famous shoe designer and Tristan is an owner of a famous cupcake shop and is scared of commitment. Their meeting, their attraction and chemistry, and their growing love suck the reader in till the end of the book. With a Villain and friends, the plot of their love story unfolds slowly and gradually.
I kind of loved the scenes that included cupcakes and temptations, which will not only arouse your sense of taste but will actually satisfy all your other senses and make your mouth water.
With a little drama and action, A little tragedy and fun and all those beautiful shoes design. You are going to love our hero and heroine and their mental struggle to forget the past and to move forward. They teach you that love can conquer all no matter what is on stake. Because you will get a lot of opportunities for jobs and career choices but you will find love only once.
*And another Plus point, the cover is pretty, sweet and sexy.
I will recommend this book to all the romantics and the dreamers out there. It is a must read for all the readers. I will give it a 5 star.
The author has done a fantabulous job in giving the shape to the story and i will look forward to more of her books.

About This Book
Fall to You is the second book in the Here and Now series. It is not a stand-alone and is intended to be read following Lost in Me. Hanna’s story concludes in book three, All for This.
Torn between two men…
When I woke up after the accident, I couldn’t remember anything from the last year—including my relationship with Max Hallowell or anything about Nate Crane. Now my memories are returning, but instead of answering my questions, they’re leaving me with more.
The man who broke my heart and wants to be my future…
Max is all I ever wanted, and now he wants to marry me. He’ll do everything he can to fill my life with love, family, and security. I need those things now more than ever. But can I trust him?
The man who stole my heart and wants to let me go…
Nate never made me promises, and I never asked him to. I’d been on the rebound, looking for a distraction, and he made me feel beautiful and wanted when I needed to feel those things most. He says he has to let me go, but what if I can’t let go of him?
With every revelation and every passing day, I feel more like Alice down the rabbit hole. I’m falling. Who will catch me?
Three Months before Hanna’s Accident
“I want to introduce you to Nate Crane.”
I lift my head and suddenly I’m sucking in air because my eyes are connected with the man who flirted with me earlier. He’d had a hat and sunglasses on in the bar, and I hadn’t recognized him, but this time his identity is clear.
“Hanna, this is Nate Crane. Nate, this is Hanna, my sister.”
His eyes sweep over me the way a guy’s eyes are supposed to sweep over a girl. The way Asher’s eyes sweep over Maggie every time she enters a room. The way William’s eyes sweep over Cally when he doesn’t think she’s looking. It sends a little buzz through me that’s not quite a chill but not quite electric either. Just a nice, warm shimmy of sensation that starts at my core and radiates out through my limbs.
Then I check behind me because I’m sure I’m mistaken. He was just playing around at the bar, right? I mean, guys don’t look at me like that. They look at my sisters like that; they look at my best friends like that.
“Maggie never told me her sister was so gorgeous,” Nate says, putting an end to any debate over his attraction to me.
My cheeks warm with a flush I can feel all the way from my chest to my hairline.
“Maggie, I did tell you I have a thing for sweet girls who blush, didn’t I? Is she my birthday present? I’d say you shouldn’t have, but I’d be lying.” He says all this without taking his eyes off me. His gaze drifts over me again, slower this time, lingering at my waist, my hips, my feet in strappy, heeled sandals. “I was a good boy this year. I deserve her.”
Maggie thumps him in the chest with the back of her hand. “She’s a woman, not some trinket or object that can be given.”
“Oh,” he says, his voice so low I can barely make it out, “I noticed she’s a woman.”
“We met earlier,” I say quickly. “In the bar. He’s just teasing.”
Maggie huffs. “Deserve or not, you can’t have her. Hanna has a boyfriend.”
Oh, no. No, Hanna doesn’t. But I didn’t tell Maggie about Max. It hurt too much to share what I’d learned. I’m too proud to share it. And if I want to keep our split a secret, I couldn’t really tell her if I wanted to. I can’t risk telling anyone.
Nate takes my hand, clearly undeterred by the mention of competition. “Tell me she’s lying. Please? It’s my birthday tomorrow.”
“And you wanted me to jump out of a cake for you?” I retort, but I let him play with my fingers and try to keep my breathing steady. His touch brings back something I didn’t think anyone but Max could make me feel.
“I wouldn’t complain.”
I’m fresh out of spunk, and stare stupidly. Nate Crane is six feet some-odd inches of deliciously tatted, freshly showered rocker. In ripped-up jeans and a Star Wars tee, he exudes a geekiness that’s only amplified by the tattoos peeking out from under the sleeves. The rest of him is essentially a catalogue of every woman’s fantasy. Broad shoulders, narrow hips, shaggy, dark hair still wet from his shower and curling slightly at the ends. Those intense eyes that seem to be smiling at me as he follows the lines of my palm with his calloused fingertips. He hadn’t really been on my radar until this year, when he started performing with Asher at a lot of his tour stops. They’re old friends, apparently.
“You didn’t tell me you were a rock star,” I murmur.
“You didn’t tell me you have a boyfriend,” he counters.
Kelley’s Review
Fall To You will take you on an emotional journey filled with mystery and suspense. Lexi writes a sinfully sexy and steamy romance that leaves you wondering who is the best man for Hanna.
This book is written in such a clever fashion. It is unlike anything I have ever read before. I bonded with Hanna in Lost In Me. It is not often that this happens for me and when it does I get extremely emotionally invested in the book series. Hanna is a lot like me. She has battled her weight her entire life and was very shy because of it. She did not seek men out because he lacked confidence. So when she wakes up in Lost In Me and finds herself skinny and engaged to the man of her dreams she can hardly believe it. Turns out that Max had ulterior motives when he first started dating her which included the possibility of getting a much needed grant or access to her trust fund to save his business. Or that is what we thought. In Lost In Me you find out that Hanna finds some old text messages from Max’s ex-girlfriend that throw her into an extreme state of mental distress where she begins to starve herself because she has had enough of people looking down on her because of her weight. How many of us have been here? In the mean time she meets a smoking hot rockstar Nate Crane who loves her curves and is attracted to who she is here and now. He makes her feel beautiful and special but in the long run he lets her know that their affair can be nothing more than what it is. He has a son and does not want his son to feel less loved like he did when his father started a new family. But in Fall To You we see a change in Nate Crane and he is actually considering breaking his cardinal rule.
Then there is Max. Hanna leaves Nate. She knows she wants a family and if he can’t give her what she wants she will have to find it somewhere else. What she did not expect is that she would find it with Max. Max shows Hanna how much he loves her and how sorry he is. When she finds out a secret that he has been hiding, she is blown away. Then tragedy strikes and she feels like the bottom has been ripped out from under her. At that very end she once again has a decision to make. But, this time it will not be an easy one.
The reason I gave this book a six start review is because I could not wait to tell everyone I know that they needed to read this series. I asked Tracey my partner in crime here at Smut Book Junkies to read the book because I had to talk to someone about it. It is that good. Lexi is insanely masterful in her character development in this series. Your heart goes out to Hanna, Max, and Nate. Their love triangle has had me tied up in knots and still does. I am counting down the days until All For This comes out. This story will stick with you. I read this book several weeks ago and it feels like yesterday. The Here and Now Series by Lexi Ryan will stick with you. It is not something that is easily forgotten. That is what lands it 6 stars. I can’t say enough about how amazing this series is and how much it has touched my heart. It will be my go to read for years to come. Bravo Lexi!

About the Author
Once a college English professor, I now write full time. I live in rural Indiana, where, when I’m not writing, I get to hang out with my husband and two kids–a six-year-old boy and a two-year-old hellion, er, girl. Not surprisingly, reading and writing remain my favorite activities, though both come in bits and pieces these days, not the big hunks of time I enjoyed before I had children. When I’m feeling virtuous, I like to go running (I use that word liberally. I’m really, really slow) or do yoga. Don’t worry, I’m always careful to balance out such activities with a hearty serving of ice cream or a chocolate martini.
